Hello Cardinals,
I am Mrs. Cox. I teach Physical Education and Health at Strong Middle School. I am so excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year with all my students.
I am starting my 5th year teaching at Strong Middle School, and 12th year total as a teacher. I grew up in Allen Park, Michigan and attended Western Michigan University for my bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education. Last year, I earned my masters degree in English Language Learning from Western Governors University. I am ready to go back to WGU for a second masters degree! I love learning.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Chris and our three children, Carter, Makenna, and Caleb. I love being active outside and trying new things. As a family we like going "up north" backpacking, hiking, camping, and boating. This summer I started mountain biking on trails and it is SO MUCH FUN and kinda muddy.

My favorite outside activity is running with my dog, Nyah and training for half-marathons! I have run 4 half-marathons, the last one I ran was the Detroit International half-marathon and we ran over the Ambassador Bridge into Canada then back to the U.S. through the tunnel under the Detroit River.
