Ms. Michelle Kirk

Welcome to Strong Middle School 6th Grade ELA (English Language Arts)!  My name is Ms. Kirk, and I have been teaching at Strong Middle School for three years.  I have taught in the district for a total of 24 years and counting!  I love working with our students and families and appreciate being welcomed me into their community and lives.  I enjoy watching students engage, learn, and grow into amazing people!  I am here to support, help, and guide you and your student  and will do my best to provide a fun, engaging, and wonderful year for you!

 

In my personal life, I have two daughters and a small dog at home that we rescued.  I enjoy the outdoors and gardening in my free time.  (I even have an old school desk with flowers as a planter in my yard.)  You will usually find me with friends or family in my time off or working in my garden or reading a book on my deck.

 

I have a Bachelor's Degree in K-8 education with specializations in English and Psychology, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Teaching and a Specialist's Degree in Educational Leadership.  I am a graduate of Michigan State University and completed my Specialist's degree at Eastern Michigan University.
