Mrs. Melissa McLaughlin

Hi there! I am proud to be the Behavior Interventionist here at Strong Middle School! This year I will start my 26^th year of teaching in the Melvindale-Northern Allen Park school district. I am so honored to be a part of the Cardinal Family and I love working here!

 

I attended school and grew up in Lincoln Park and Riverview, went to Wayne State University and Marygrove College for my teaching degrees, and I continue to learn from my students and fellow teachers daily! We never stop learning, right? 

 

When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my husband, Mike, and our son, Thomas. Our family enjoys taking road trips, grilling in our backyard, and watching movies together. In my free time, I like to swim, read, take pictures, listen to music, and take our dog, Brody, for walks. I played volleyball in middle school and high school, and coached our Strong volleyball team for five years.  Go Cards!

 

 

I'm extremely excited to start this new school year with the best staff ever and our amazing students! Our middle school is awesome and our kids are the best part about it!
