About Us

Strong Middle School is home to the Melvindale-Northern Allen Park students who are in 6th through 8th grade. At Strong, students will continue to focus on their academics in the classroom, using advanced technology in a variety of classes ranging from core subjects to specials such as band, computers, physical education, Spanish and STEAM. Our staff works hard to develop high academic standards within the curriculum and work to always meet the academic, social and emotional needs of our students. At Strong, students can continue to branch out through a variety of clubs, after-school activities and sports.

Students can learn to become positive role models and learn to help others succeed through our Bully Busters, National Honors Society and WEB programs, or dive into working on the technology in the school with our Cardinal Tech Team. Our Math Counts and band programs both participate in state-wide competitions or students can test out their gaming skills with our Esports team. Students who are part of the Cardinal News Network class or Journalism Club get the chance to work behind the scenes and on camera for Strong’s weekly, student-run broadcast and sixth graders start to learn lifelong skills when they have the opportunity to attend 6th grade camp in the Spring.

With such a wide variety of programs offered by our educators, Strong Middle School is sure to have something for everyone.
