Today we will be discussing the importance of understanding positive and negative numbers in real world situations. How do we know what negative 7 yards rushing looks like? If we start with a negative 2 and add 6 is our answer positive or negative? These are many of the questions that we will look at to determine if a number is negative or positive.

SWBAT identify positive and negative numbers in real world situations by answer word problems relating to numbers greater than zero and less than zero with 75% accuracy measured by the completion of google document.

This type 3 writing assessment focuses on area and perimeter. You will be asked to define area, perimeter, and find the area/perimeter of shapes. The shapes for area are square and rectangle (look the notes up for these) and the perimeter shape is a triangle (look up the notes on how to find perimeter of shapes).

We have discussed how angles can be defined as acute, obtuse, right (90 degree), straight. We will continue to work on how these angles help us determine if an angle is smaller or larger than a given angle measurement. An essential question that we will be asking today is "What are bench mark angles?"
