Ms. Elliott

Hi everyone! Welcome to 7th Grade Ancient World History! This is my 5th year teaching at Strong and I love being a Cardinal! I love the home I have made in our district over the last few years and cannot wait to get to know this year's students. Our district is such a special place and I love being welcomed into my student's lives.
I grew up in Wyandotte and attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn where I majored in History and Journalism and received my Secondary Teaching Certificate. I have a Master's in Teaching English as a Second Language from Cornerstone University.
Outside of the classroom, I coach the Strong Co-ed Cross Country team in the fall and the Girl's Track team in the spring. Throughout the year, you can find me taking pictures at most Strong sporting events, running the concession stand during wrestling and on Friday nights, I will always be at the high school football games! I also run Journalism Club as well as the weekly student-run broadcast, Cardinal News Network, which is entering its fourth season this year!
When I'm not teaching, I freelance high school sports for the Trenton Tribune, a monthly local newspaper, and work in the Youth Department at Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum on some weekends and through the summer! In my spare time, I enjoy a lot of Slurpees, naps and hanging out with my cat, Cleo on my balcony.
